Smoothing Vitamin C Eye + Expression Lines Cream

I've been using this for about a week at the time I write this review, and overall I would say this is a good eye cream. To me, it's strengths are as follows: it is low-irritant. I've noticed that the Outset focuses heavily on making non-irritating and fragrance free formulas, with this eye cream being no exception. I also enjoy the vitamin c derivative and saccharomyces ingredients. Those are great ingredients for gentle brightening. The packaging is a pump system in glass, which to me is perfect packaging (better for the environment and no need for a scoop). Finally, I love that this is a mid-weight formula. It's neither light nor heavy, which makes it ideal as a dual day/night eye cream. It's potential cons are as follows: I found this required a bit more buffing into my skin than I prefer. My suspicion is that this product appears to be silicone-free, and in general I do prefer silicone-based moisturizers for their spreadability. My con might be a pro for others, as I know some amount of people are looking to avoid that ingredient. In summary, this is a very "clean" and non-irritating product that might tick many boxes for those with allergies or sensitivities. I’m always curious about Outset products because everything i’ve tried in the past has been great. I am in my 40s and always on the look out for products for wrinkles. This cream is great for my undereyes and i’ve tried it on my smile lines as well. A little richer than i expected but left my skin smooth after blending. Complimentary from Outset.

I had read about this eye cream and was so excited to order it. I am very disappointed as to me I feel it actually dries out my under eye area. I cleanse, apply the eye cream, then apply the rest of my fact skincare. By the time I go to put on my foundation and concealer, my under eye area already feels and looks dry. I don't need that for my 60 year old eye area!! I wasn't hoping for a miracle just a good eye cream. Sadly, this one is a no go for me.

The formula is lite weight and absorbs nicely, leaving my under eyes plump with hydration and moisturize.
