bodice too long in back for petite women

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love the style, the length is great, the fit looks flattering but the back of the bodice is just too long/big. It gaps out weird. it also makes the back side of the skirt hang lower than the front. I don't think I can alter it. I have to return the dress. I"m only 5'1" and short waisted so that is the issue. I bought a small based on the size chart. not sure if an XS would have fit better

Pretty good

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It’s a good looking dress that can be dressed up or down. The poplin skirt feels like it will be cool in the heat. The back of the bodice is too long for me though and it gaps out. I’ll have to get it altered if I keep the dress. I’m short waisted, 5’1” so it’s to be expected since Madewell doesn’t offer enough petite clothing options. The length of the skirt is good though!

Love this dress
