Smocked Cami Maxi Dress

I like this as a casual day/evening dress. The silk feels thinner than the crushed silk dresses I have (jewel neck and tiered tank). Where the crushed silk keeps its form through many wears, this one loses the crinkle (unevenly) after a few hours or in higher humidity. It also seems to show the slightest oil stain more prominently. A tiny piece of avocado that fell during meal prep caused me to have to immediately hand wash. I have crushed silk dresses in both XL and 1X, but sized down to L in this one. I'm broad shouldered / larger busted, but found the XL's width bunched under my armpits in an way that just made me look wider than I am. Unfortunately, the L straps are a bit short on me, so I've had to order duplicates in L to try to get the longest straps in each color (they've varied quite a bit). I can see wearing the magenta in the summer, bronze in the fall, and black in a variety of seasons. They somehow feel different enough to keep one in each color. Overall, I'm happy with them, but don't see them lasting as long as their thicker cousins.

Beautiful bronze dress. I love the crinkled silk dresses. But I wore this one to a two hour lecture and out to lunch. The crinkles disappeared where I sat. They came back once home and left twisted overnight, but I will definitely be sure I am standing more when I wear it again! Adjusting the straps definitely affects the fit..more than expected.

This is a fabulous dress that can be dressed up or down. Wear it with top or sweater to appear like an awesome flowing skirt. Also wear for dressy occasions with the coordinating silk scarf for a luxurious outfit. I bought the bronze color in my typical size XXS & fit is good. Not slim fit yet still slenderizing. Great value on sale!
