Allure Snow Helmet with MIPS

The Allure Snow Helmet size M fits me perfectly. My head circumference is 22 inches so right in the middle of the size M range. I had been advised to buy a helmet with an adjustable wheel (at the back) at an outdoor store but the self-adjusting system combined with the chin strap adjustment on the Allure works well for me. I ordered the Matte Champagne color which I would say it is slightly more pink than it looks in the photo in certain lighting conditions - still very lovely and neutral. The color adds a bit of warmth to my white and black ski outfit and is easier to spot on the slopes than the ubiquitous black helmet. I love the soft and cozy ear pads! I don't need to wear a hat or balaclava but I could fit one if needed. It will be great to be able to remove the pads on warmer days. There is also more ventilation (at the back) than appears in these photos so no need to worry about foggy goggles or getting overly warm (another important feature when looking for a helmet). Overall, this is a lovely understated helmet with classic styling and great safety and comfort features. You won't regret this purchase but should you need to return, it's so convenient to be able to take it to a Nordstrom store rather than have to pay shipping charges back to an outdoor retailer.

I love the look and feel of this helmet but after a full season I have a few negatives. The mips system rips out my hair if I am not SO CAREFUL taking it off. My baby hairs all took a year to grow back in. Also the clip on the back of the helmet fot goggle strap it rattles against the helmet when walking hard or foing off jumps. Ine helmet but wouldnt buy again.
