I have been wanting an electric kettle for a while and finally pulled the trigger. Nordstrom was the first place I checked, because I knew they would offer top quality brands and they did in this cute Italian kettle. It takes cold water to boiling quickly at the push of a button, turning off automatically. The water hot for a bit and looks great on my counter top. I love it, thanks again Nordstrom!

Nordstrom quality slipping
Upon opening the box, it appeared I had been sent an old return or damaged kettle; on both sides of the kettle the letter G of Smeg was missing, the kettle was smudged as if used and it appeared to have been thrown in the box and sealed shut without packaging or plastic wrap. Totally broke my confidence in Nordstrom inspecting before shipping out and in Smeg (who's refrigerator I own) being reliable in what they stock to upscale retailers. Returned and will purchase another brand elsewhere online.

This Electric Tea Kettle is very noisy. Sounds like a rocket as the water boils, and the water doesn’t stay hot for long. By the time you finish the first cup of tea the rest of the water is just warm; also, Kettle is very heavy. I’m very disappointed with this purchase because it’s an expensive tea Kettle. If you want it for looks, it’s beautiful; however, I’m a serious tea drinker and I want it for hot water!! I do not recommend this tea kettle. There are better ones for way less money.

SMEG Fantastic in red.
This was an upgrade from my old teapot and it does not disappoint. The style is beautiful, the finish is lovely. It has a nice light to tell you it is boiling the water. I chose the color red and could not be happier.
