DO NOT purchase smeg from Nordstrom

I have purchased this blender from Nordstrom and it came used with obvious marks. Nordstrom should check before shipping out products to customers as they ruined my experience with smeg.

Built-in Blade is the solution

I had owned the older version when having to remove the blade base for cleaning, and it was always a really tough job untwisting, and figuring out… that at the end, even my husband couldn’t do it! We gave up on that! Smeg figured that out with this new model: the blade is built in the tub blender, eliminating the hard plastic complicating base. I like it better too that it can be washed altogether with the blender tub, preferably in the DW. The tub fits tighter on the mechanic machine, which I think is more secured when used. The mini top cover is designed to sit loosely on the lid, so it can be easily removed while the blender is being used for sampling and modification. Those are new and improved for these retro style blenders by Smeg. Oh of course, the price has hiked up from mid $200 to mid $300, but at least they solved the problem! Noticed as well that it blends better and quieter. I love the Cream color. Classic.
