Small Marcie Leather Satchel

This is my first Chloe purchase and I bought it for the quiet, understated luxury it brings without obvious logos. The leather is supple and smells beautiful and I loved the gold hardware against the black, and the small size is a perfect option for when my YSL Toy Lou Lou is just too tight for the essentials. It's a unique purse that isn't everywhere on the streets like LV or YSL now, and while I am aware that the resale value on Chloe may not be up to par with those other two brands, I also bought this purse to be different and to enjoy it for myself. Additionally, sometimes you just need a luxury piece that doesn't scream it's luxury and I love the Chloe piece for that reason.

I have wanted a Chloe bag for years and this year my husband surprised me with a beautiful blue small Marcie bag for Christmas. It was stunning at first but upon further inspection I noticed the black glazing was quite sloppy. It was all over the leather, too thin in areas, too thick in areas, etc. Thinking it was just this bag I returned it for another. Unfortunately I looked at 6 bags before finding one that met the quality standards of a $2k bag. Many of them had sloppy glazing, black glazing on the gold hardware, big scratches on the hardware, etc. Finally we found one and I was excited to bring it home. Then within a week, I started to notice the end of the zipper pulling away from the leather. After unzipping it gently 2-3 more times it got worse. I brought that one back and looked at more but they were all flawed. I’m hoping this brand brings back their previous level of quality because I do love the bags.
