Plum Pure Silk Pillowcase

I was really excited about this as I’ve been eyeing them for close to a year. I have to say I’m a little let down... mostly because of the cost. I washed the case exactly as instructed and it still came out super wrinkly... so much to where it needs to be steamed. Also, another thing I have noticed is that it “stains” from my creams and serums and it makes the case look oily. I will continue to use, I like how it’s soft and cool, but I won’t be purchasing another.

Absolutely a beautiful color! Hope its officially carried .. not just as a limited run. Found that these did stain somewhat.. might have to exchange, dont know if its a defect or not. My other SLIP pillowcases didn't do that. Super soft & cozy.. feels great on skin. I noticed that i had less static in my hair. Expensive though, if you can afford it.. buy em!

i have several SLIP silk pilllow cases in different colors. at first i was skeptical to try but after i had it, i do notice big difference with my hair texture. hair feels less frizzy and shinier and smoother in the morning. i particularly love the nordstrom exclusive because it comes with zipper whereas original slip cases don’t. i would definitely get it again in different colors from nordstrom exclusive!

First of all, I love this Plum color, after doing much research on this Brand I am highly disappointed this color is not in their color lineup and that it is a Nordstorm Exclusive Color. Side Note I would consider this color more of a Red/ Crimson/ Maroon color than a Plum color; however, I consider the color Plum to be a Purple-ish color. Now a color in the Slip Line that is also pretty is the Gold color (that is only available through the Slip Company's Website) is gorgeous too, it just doesn't go with my current bedding. That being said I have been using this pillowcase brand for quite a few months and I loved my Slip Pillowcase so much I bought a second one in this Plum color to match! I have tried quite a few brands of silk pillowcases and I know these are expensive but they just were so much softer and silkier than other brands. According to the Slip website, these pillowcases are made from 22 momme mulberry silk and compared to a supposedly 25 momme silk one from Amazon the Slip pillowcase was so much softer, and I loved that this pillowcase had a zipper closure; the one from Amazon had the envelope closure and it kept coming off my pillow completely. Silk is just too slippy to not be zippered shut over your pillow. The reason I made the switch to silk is due to silk being better for your skin and my very sensitive acne prone skin has never looked better, probably because my pillowcase is no longer absorbing all of my face products. I am hoping the anti-aging properties of these silk pillowcases keep my skin wrinkle-free and crease-free but I am also just turning 22 so wrinkles and creases are not an issue for me currently. I also sleep on my back so I know I am probably not the best to judge if this does the anti-aging claims which it makes. My hair is not very frizzy, and my only issue is in the colder months of the year and winter my hair gets very static-y and I noticed this winter that was not an issue at all anymore. Buyer Beware that even though it says you can wash silk in the washing machine that High-Quality silk when wet is far too fragile for machine washing, even on the handwashing setting in a lingerie bag. It's a delicate and like all my other delicates I hand wash it and hang to dry INDOORS, because again the sun will damage the coloring of the silk. Overall, I love this brand and I HIGHLY recommend investing in these pillowcases. I personally wash my pillowcases after every use so I know I need to add more into my pillowcase lineup so I can take out all the non-Slip Brand pillowcases out of my pillowcase rotation.
