Slim Zip Ultra Western Boot (Men)

These Ariat Men’s Slim Zip Ultra Western Boots are one of the best pickups I’ve made recently, especially with how limited the options are when for disabled people like myself. I am paraplegic and require AFO leg braces to walk, which makes cowboy boots an extremely sore subject. Finding cowboy boots that actually work with braces is a huge pain. Most brands just aren’t built for it. Ariat is basically the only one making cowboy boots specifically for disabled people, other than extremely high end pricy options. Between their EZ Zip line and the fact that they build a lot of their regular boots with removable insoles and zippers, they make it actually possible to get braces and orthotics into a real western boot without a fight. These in particular hit a really nice sweet spot. They’re a little more snug than the EZ Zip models, but not in a bad way. Once they’re on, they feel secure and dialed in, not tight or uncomfortable. The slim shaft is a huge bonus. I don’t have to default to boot cut jeans just to make them work. They look clean with slimmer cut jeans, which makes them way more versatile! And the black smooth leather is perfect. You can wear these casually or dress them up and they don’t look out of place either way. Overall, this is exactly what I want out of a boot. It works with my braces, looks great, and doesn’t force me to compromise. Ariat gets it, and it’s why I keep coming back to them.
