Slim Sleeve Wallet

I got this wallet to replace my 'normal' sized wallet. I wanted a wallet that I could comfortably carry in my front pocket while cutting down on the bulk from my previous wallet. It accomplishes that task well, despite my being able to fit 9 cards (including 5 of my credit card sized business cards) and some paper bills folded in half. The leather is of a good quality, and I like the pull-out tab feature - it makes accessing my less frequently used cards really easy while keeping them hidden from view. My only real criticism of this wallet is that I feel it costs a bit too much for what you're getting. $80 feels like a bit much...I had a gift card so the price didn't sting quite as much, but at $50 it would be a much more reasonable purchase.

I am okay with the price point and I ordered the blue slim sleeve. It’s super small so if that’s not your thing don’t order it. I love everything about it except that the right side compartment is extremely loose. I have 6 cards in it and even in my back pocket the wallet is messy. When I pull out the wallet the cards are halfway out and the leather pull strap in place. Not too happy about that.

I thought the product offered poor value for money, so I returned it. I also thought the blue leather wasn’t very attractive, nor did it have the fit and finish of a product I expected for its price point. As a point of comparison, and for what it’s worth, I have an old Bellroy Hide n Seek wallet from something like 10-13 years ago and I still think it’s an excellent example of a leather wallet. I recently sought to replace that wallet with a new version (purchased from the brand’s DTC channel), and the design changed, and I feel like the leather is of a poorer quality. Unfortunately, I am stuck with that new wallet. Which is why I looked to purchase this Slim Sleeve wallet from Nordstrom, but as I mentioned, I returned this Slim Sleeve wallet. Overall, I’d say the brand has slipped. I won’t look to purchase any more of their products. I did find a leather wallet made from a boutique brand based out of London. If you look around you can find other options.
