Izia La Nuit Eau de Parfum

Although this version if Izïa is called “la nuit” (the night), I find it to be a beautiful warm weather daytime fragrance. The fragrance notes listed in the description are accurate, but on me, it is the middle notes that really shine; especially when it’s warm or I’m outdoors. That’s when the warmth of the sun causes the floral notes to bloom. My husband and I frequently go to lunch at one of our area’s lovely outdoor dining spots where I invariably get complimented on or asked about what I’m wearing. Is this fragrance for everyone? Of course not! Fragrance is a a personal preference based on subjective perceptions. What one person loves, another person might not. That is the beauty and nature of olfactory experiences. How they are perceived is as varied as their are people to experience them. Our body chemistry also plays an important role. Example: There is new TF fragrance that has been quite polarizing of late. A friend thinks it is absolute dreck and yet every time I’ve worn it around her, her reaction is the same: “What are you wearing? That is soooooo beautiful.” You should see the look on her face when I tell her. Moral of the story: Fragrance needs to be experienced on an individual’s own skin to be accurately judged. Long story short, take the advice of one of the other reviewers and try this out on your own skin to see if it is spring into summer magic or just marketing hype.
