Why parents will love it: With advanced safety features and an easy installation, this convertible car seat monitors the well-being of your little one through the smart chest clip that syncs with the installed vehicle receiver and your smartphone. The one-hand 360º rotation makes it easy to get the child in and out. A load leg stabilizes the car seat and reduces rotation during a crash. SensorSafe 2.0 alerts you when child unbuckles the chest clip while still in motion; if child is seated for a prolonged period of time; if the temperature gets too hot or cold; or if child is still buckled in the car seat after you leave the vehicle, and notifies emergency contacts if no action is taken, sharing your location.

Why kids will love it: The 12-position reclining backrest with one-hand recline for rear-facing and forward-facing installations and premium fabrics mean your child will always be traveling in comfort.

Safety features: The padded harness takes safety to the next level with a chest clip featuring SensorSafe 2.0 technology, which communicates with you via a receiver you insert into your vehicle's OBD-II port (it also connects to your smartphone) that alerts you when unsafe conditions arise. An EPS foam-lined energy-absorbing shell helps absorb the forces of impact to protect your child, while Linear Side-Impact Protection (L.S.P.) absorbs 25% more force in a side-impact collision.

Car installation: Innovative on-pull LATCH system for easy installation and removal from the vehicle seat. Dual Level Indicator shows correct seat angle in both rear- and forward-facing positions.

Useless and poorly made.
The seat 360 function is constrained and useless with the back anchor. This is the case if your child is 32”. So don’t buy the seat for this function. Once installed, the seat still moves a bit. The app function is annoying and gives too many false readings. The seat itself has poorly place harness the hurts the baby when tugged on to fast and hard to correctly adjusted. In the end, it has a lot of checks in the box but that’s for marketing not actual functioning. Can’t wait until we stop buying things for worthless bells and whistles!

great but broke my easily
I was so excited to buy this due to the swivel function but after a few days, it got stuck. Apparently if the belt path comes off while swiveling, it breaks. Called cybex, no great help at all while that was disappointing. Called Nordstrom, off course they helped. It a great comfortable seat, but first time innovation needs some tweaking. Basically not working after a few days. Will return. Dissatisfied with cybex customer service.

Just ok
I played into the hype and bought this but the quality is subpar. My first cybex broke just at 12 months of use, the side impact mechanism stopped working, it would jam and would no longer pop back into the seat. The second one, the same happened within a year with the SIP mechanism. The swivel is not meant to be used everyday apparently and started to brake at about a year on the 2nd one. The app is ok but glitchy. Most importantly, customer service at cybex is terrible. They really try to make you feel like you’re trying to get something that you’re not entitled to under the warranty. At least I feel validated that the seat is cheaply made since the same thing broke on both seats. At the time there was only really one swivel car seat (it is a game changer but that is the only thing I like about this seat which is why I gave this two stars instead of one) When the second one broke I didn’t even bother to call them.

beware: CYBEX will allow the clock to run out!!!
I have a long review. I will start with the positives of the car seat: great fabric, rotation is amazing, and no head bobbing from the child when they fall asleep. HOWEVER: I was so excited to get this car seat. I am short and love the fact that this car seat rotates. I love the design and thought it was going to be super safe. However, from the beginning I had issues with installation. I followed the website and the manufacturers recommendations on installation. However I was never able to get the car seat to stop leaning and moving. Adjusting the seat belt or the safety latches nothing allowed the car seat to feel secure. I even went to CHP and fire department to get help. Nothing worked. So I decided to take out the car seat - purchase another brand and take out this cybex car seat and then contact the manufacturer. This has been such a problem. I have been emailing CYBEX directly for over 8 months about these issues. I emailed them and no response for awhile, then when they finally got back to me, CYBEX needed me to reinstall the car seat and show them photos. It took me a few weeks because life happens but I did. Now they needed all the serial number photos as well (after it was reinstalled). I did everything they needed over a chain of emails. More time passed and that was not good enough CYBEX now needed videos. More time passes, and they get back to me telling me now my warranty has expired and they can not help me. Also now they are telling me it is not the car seat it is the installation. I had both the seat belt and the safety latches at the bottom connected and I am at fault. I have sent multiple emails explaining to them that the reason I used both because the leg would not lock into green and is always red, while also leaning to the side. This is the only way I could get the leg and the car seat to be more secure. Anyways, I believe if I have nothing nice to say not to say anything however, I am so disappointed and frustrated with CYBEX customer service I feel I should inform others.

Compared to nuna revv
This car seat is great. We were looking for a rotating seat that could take more weight than the nuna revv but we wanted it to still have great safety reviews. This carseat met all the marks. I did drop it one star because if it is not locked into place it will swivel all of the place and can make it a little more difficult to place your child into. My nuna revv doesn’t move much when it’s not locked so I can leave it ready to place my child at all times even when he’s not in the car. It’s a little harder to function than the nuna since you have to move it into place in order to swivel but overall a great car seat.
