tension arm paper towel holder

I have two wall-mounted Simple Human paper towel holders of the previous design which I bought years ago and which I love, but which do not fit in my new kitchen since I moved. I needed two countertop paper towel holders instead and of course went to Simple Human to get them. Unfortunately, this new design of paper towel holder has serious design flaws which prevent it from meeting my needs. First, I do love the carrying loop. That is a good idea and works well. Also the paper towel holder is sturdy and well made. But the post is too thick to fit a standard Kraft Paper Tube (the sturdy reusable kind), thus this holder is useless for my reusable cloth "paper" towels. The post will only fit the thinnest of tubes on the major paper towel brands. Secondly, the arm which is meant to allow you to tear off one paper towel at a time does not work. Using a well-known thick grocery store brand of paper towels, if I try to tear off one with one hand, the arm instead causes the bottom corner of the paper towel to tear off, leaving me only a fragment of a paper towel. I have to use both hands to properly tear off a single paper towel from the roll, negating the purpose of the arm. The arm is useful for keeping the end of the paper towel roll off the counter (in a pool of water if your kitchen is like mine), and prevents the paper towels from unrolling if I have the windows open/fan on, etc. So, while this is not a bad or flimsy paper towel holder in any way, it nevertheless does not meet my needs and was a big disappointment for me.
