What it is: A distortion-free mirror that magnifies 10 times, which is ideal for providing exceptional detail for close-up work like tweezing or applying eye makeup.
What it does: It lights up automatically as your face approaches it with a tru-lux light system that simulates natural sunlight, allowing you to see full color variation so you’ll know when your makeup is color-correct and flawless. It uses long-lasting LED lights which won’t burn out or diminish so you’ll never have to change a bulb. It even folds down flat and stores easily in a convenient padded travel case that you can take anywhere. Excellent for specific needs
I bought this mirror specifically for my brows and I love it! The 10X magnification is perfect for that. I also use it for my lips, checking my eye makeup and for blackheads. The mirror is distortion-free and the LED light is superb. I love that the mirror is rechargeable - cordless, yeah! I especially love the compact size - it folds down neatly and is travel-friendly in its zipper semi-rigid case. There's a cleaning cloth included. I really love the sensor component - the light automatically turns on and off, when my face is near it or away from it. No, it does not have more/less than 10X magnification. No, it does not have a wide range of height adjustments (it has 2 height adjustments). No, the mirror does not detach from the base stand. No, you do not change any light bulbs. Yes, the mirror itself is truly only 5 inches in diameter. I did not buy this mirror to use for my daily makeup application. I did not expect it to be feather lightweight, so I'm not disappointed that it isn't (but the mirror is not heavy at all for non-travel use). It is a high quality mirror that can be stored away easily and can be taken with me on trips very easily. I love it!

Hated it! It Was Cheaply Made
Cheaply made. I was expecting a better made product. I was highly disappointed with this mirror. I immediately returned it.

Simplehuman mini countertop 5"/10x magnification.
Since the magnification is so strong, as I need, I had to move further back from the mirror than normal. Because of this, you cannot get entire face in the mirror when applying makeup because it is only 5" in diameter. It is perfect for just applying makeup to certain areas of face, such as eyes, lips, etc., so it didn't fill my entire need in a makeup mirror. It is a beautiful, sleek mirror and really decorates your countertop, rather than detracting from it.

The mirror is good quality and I love the carrying case and ease for travel, but I think I would have preferred this size mirror in a 5X magnification rather than 10X. It is going back.

You have to have this makeup mirror!
simplehuman makes the best makeup mirrors! I love this as it truly is distortion free and its magnification is exceptional. I like the technology sensor that lights it up when you approach it...very, very cool! This will last for a very long time! A DEFINITE MUST BUY for anyone wanting an exceptional quality mirror that truly does stimulate natural sunlight! The charger is super easy to use too!

Not very useful...8 inch is much effective choice
This mirror is way too small to be useful. It can see only one feature of your face at a time. Moving around trying to see all the parts of the face can make your head dizzy. It is heavy for traveling purpose. I had purchased the 8 inch 5 times magnifying vanity mirror and thought I would also try this smaller version. However it seems to me, this mini one does not do as good of the job as the normal sized countertop mirror.

This is a must-have!
I bought the bigger version of this mirror, but I may purchase this too for travel. This is the kind of product that you don't know how you lived without, once you own it. It makes me wonder what I have really looked like when I left the house before using this magnifying mirror. The charge seems to last forever too. It has been well over a month (maybe two?) band I have not had to recharge. It's mandatory for plucking those little chin/lip hairs that suddenly have popped up during middle age. lol
