Soft, flattering, simple
The material is soft. I sized up on size and it was a great fit. It hits right at the hips. I’m apple shaped and this didn’t over-emphasize my stomach area. I plan to wear it alone and with long sleeve button down shirts underneath. I got a farm rio buttondown in the sale with a blue background and a pattern with some wine colors in it that I will wear with this. I also got the Vince ankle pants in this same color. Outfit complete!

Frumpy Looking
This sweater was so expensive and really was quite plain for the price tag. I thought I looked frumpy in it so I return it.

Not an alpaca sweater
I purchased both colors because the title of the item was “wool & alpaca blend sweater”. There is no alpaca. The fabric content in the item description is incorrect as well. Both sweaters I received are a wool/cashmere blend.

Review previously is correct: it is not the fabric listed, it is wool and cashmere, which I al actually pleased about…it created a better texture! And No synthetic fabric elements…
The plum is a beautiful deep burgundy…a classic fall and winter shade. I will wear this with many skirts, slacks, and over tank dresses (in cooler weather) for work and church. It is truly a basic I will keep for years. TTS for Vince .

Beautiful and petite friendly
What luxury! I got this in deep burgundy, which would flatter many skin tones. I'm 5'0" and the sweater hits at my hips with elbow-length sleeves. I plan to wear it alone or under blazers and cardigans.

Nice Shape, Not Soft
The cut and color of this sweater is really nice. Runs true to size. I am disappointed, however, because I thought it would be softer since it is made from alpaca, and after one wear is starting to pill.

strange fit
There is nothing positive I can really say about this sweater. The fit is so odd. It seems short and slightly narrow, but the sleeves are too long for my long arms and fit too loose. I’m surprised how many people like it. I was on the fence about ordering it due to the fiber content. I don’t like wool of any sort. I prefer 100% cashmere. I hand wash my cashmere sweaters but feel like this would definitely shrink if washed, hence the label dry clean. That doesn’t thrill me. Dry cleaning is not great for the environment.
I think I’m done buying Vince as it seldom works out. The sizing just doesn’t work for my body style. If you are tall, thin or taller and athletic or angular I think it would be a good brand but for my shape it never looks the way I like.
I’ll stick with Jenni Kayne or White and Warren cashmere sweaters.
