Details & care

What it is: A brush with a gel tip blender on one side and red, diamond-shaped synthetic brush head on the other.

What it does: The gel tip mimics the effect of fingertips without absorbing product like a traditional sponge. Hygienic and easy to wipe clean, the applicator adapts to the contours of the face to build optimal coverage. The synthetic brush on the other side looks and feels fluffy but contains a large amount of dense fibers at its core to maintain the tool's shape and provide the perfect balance of strength and flexibility. The ergonomic brush is compatible with creams, powders, liquids and gels. It is handcrafted in Japan by a team of seasoned artisans.

How to use: Use the gel blender to dab liquid or cushion formulas onto the face and the red brush to buff and diffuse pigment for a soft-focus finish.

Great Brush for Lighter Foundation

This brush is fantastic for a lighter powder but not so great for a sheer liquid type of foundation. However, I wish I could give an extra star for the rubber end on the brush - it actually feels like a fingertip-like blend.

brush dye bleeds into make up

I wanted to love this, I had wondered why my face looked pinky after application ... I washed the brush and the red dye comes off... I washed it several times and still the dye keeps bleeding into the water... this is why my foundation had appeared to be pink! Had to return ....

The best foundation brush

This is a brilliant brush, superior to Sigma and Chanel foundation brushes. Wonderful foundation blending with nothing retained by the bristles (oh, maybe a trace). The soft end imitating the finger is also very good for applying concealer (I wish, there was also smaller size available). It is a pleasure to use every day. This is now my favorite foundation brush. Compact size is great for travel.

Ineffective at concealer application

I was looking for brushes that have lids, or retract down, to carry in my makeup and keep I clean. This was not that. Also, the rubber concealer-smudger is extremely cheap and pulls your skin when you try to blend concealer with it. Returned it.

Another good Shiseido brush

I like this one too but the silicone tip is kind of a pain to clean off. So I usually do not use the tip to apply the foundation and just use the brush end to blend it.
