Shimmer Pleated Plunge Neck Criss Cross Back Gown

I don’t normally write reviews but I had to warn anyone about this dress. It releases glitter everywhere. All I did was try it on and I’m covered in black glitter. My house is now covered and so is my husband. All he did was zip it up for me. It’s taken hours to get all the glitter off. Do not buy unless you’re obsessed with glitter getting everywhere.

I am in love with this dress! I really wanted to fit. For reference I am 5.1’ and I usually wear a 2 or 4 size depending on the brand…. I read the comments and everyone mentioned that ran a little large, and I ordered a size 2…. When I got the dress I should have ordered a size 0…. Everything is large! The bust, the length! I reaaaaaallly want this dress and if I knew how to fix it I would keep it, but it’s too beautiful, but unfortunately too large. My husband even said that if I were to fix it I would get another dress LOL…. That is how big it is on me…. I retuned the dress but Must definitely buying the size 0 with the hope that wont run small…. Fingers crossed cross.

I ordered this dress on a whim after realizing my bridal dress was uncomfortable to sit or dance in. The ladies at Nordstrom alterations came to the rescue and made this dress fit perfectly for me just in time for my wedding day. They added a tie in the back and cups in the chest. Also shortened it to wear I could go barefoot if needed for dancing (I’m 5’2” 32 bust and 26 waist size 0) I received so many compliments on my sparkly wedding reception dress. It was a big hit and flowed nicely while dancing. I loved it! Beware that glitter does transfer but it was funny getting glitter on my husband!

The stock photos do not give justice to the beauty of this dress. It has deep blue Hughes that shimmer under the lights and gorgeous sliver sparkles. It is a very forgiving fit so order down a size. Top of the dress has ribbing for support in the chest for those of us who need extra support. I’m so incredibly happy with my purchase and this is going to make the most amazing Mardi Gras ball dress.
