Nordstrom does it again. The listed discription stat leather outsole and lining. Based on the false description, I placed the order. To find out manufacture information on the sandals state the lining is synthetic material , not leather as Nordstrom states. For online shoppers. This is false representation and this is NOT the first time. For almost 200 dollars sandals, one expects better quality and accurate discription with correct information.

According to the manufacturer Penelope Chilvers on their website. It states that the sole is PU Leather. A quick google search explains that PU LEATHER IS Not leather. It is polyurethane which breaks down and cracks and peels in no time. It is cheap material and again the sign they have on the shoe is wrong and misleading because they show the sign of leather and next to it another sign that looks like a grid. That is why it is confusing and misleading. Bottom line again it is Polyurethane for a $190 shoe. It is an affordable shoe, but corporate greed ruined it and cut corners by putting plastic and marketing it as leather.

I’ve worn these shoes for about two weeks now and I love them. They are comfortable to walk in and so beautifully crafted. The leather is soft and they are well padded. I have walked a few miles in them daily with no rubbing or blisters. There is no break in period which is almost unheard of for sandals! I got them in gold but will be getting the tan as soon as size 8 is restocked!
