What it is: An ultrarich formula containing 25% shea butter to help repair dry to very dry hands.
What it does: Its melting texture provides immediate comfort while forming a protective barrier against environmental aggressors. Suitable for sensitive skins it leaves hands nourished, softened and visibly more comfortable.
How to use: Exfoliate skin before using the balm to nourish and repair dry hands. Use when necessary. Apply a generous dab of balm between your hands, then gently massage (at least twice a day). For intense care: Apply a thick layer and leave on for 10 minutes before massaging the excess (at least twice a week). Soft hands, glossy nails.

Very Nourishing
I use this on my hands and elbows morning, noon, and night. Even my co-workers (men) ask if they can use it. A little goes a long way. Apply sparingly so you don't feel tacky. I'd you do it right, your skim will feel perfect and you will not be disappointed. It has a neutral smell that is not off-putting to me. I love it! Very decadent product!

New scent is awful
I just tried my new tube and the scent is definitely different and really awful. The texture of the lotion is also very different. Rather than feeling rich and smoothing, it feels thin and cheap. Really disappointed and not sure what to do from here on out since I've been using this lotion for years as it's the only one that has worked really well for me.

Powerful cheap smell
This works OK, but it has a very strong old-lady odor, and the texture is not pleasing. My old tube of 20% shea cream had a very faint odor. It also spread easier and seemed to work better. I wish I could return this.

New formulation is not that great...
The old version was thick and really moisturizing for my hands. It also didn't smell so heavily of some sort of fragrance. I will look into other hand lotion brands from now on.

Formula Changed
I have been using this hand cream for many years. I ordered a refill and was disappointed to find that the formula has changed. It now has a scent; it used to be fragrance free. I don't like the smell at all. Why change something that was perfect the way it was? So disappointed.

Bring back the old formula
I have used the old formula for years. I just opened my new tube of this new formulation and it is horrible. Doesn't moisturize, the smell is synthetic and displeasing. Awful. Why, l'occitane?
