Shaunie Tall Boot

I hope this review helps someone. I always have to buy wild calf boots because my calves measure 16". I purchased the wide calf and they were huge they measured about 17 or 18" and I had almost 2" of space at the top of the boot. I purchased the regular and they slid on without a problem and there's still some room in the boot shaft. Sometimes as you go up in size the circumference of the boot will get wider as well. So for reference, I am a size 10. The 3rd photo is the wide calf on the bottom with the regular with laying on top. The leather is incredibly soft and the foot bed feels very soft and comfy.

I bought this boot a couple of weeks ago , I suggest you try on in store due to odd calf sizing. I really like it , it has good arch support , the wide calf fits my leg nicely , I can wear with leggings , skinny jeans . I will add that the calf section of this boot is a bit off in sizing -width . I tried on 2 sizes 11 and one size the calf was enormous while the other pair 11s fit my calf fine. I tried size 10 the calf fit shorter and a bit tighter . Good thing I had the patience to not give up on this boot due to calf sizing being ill fitting. I found one that fit I chose size 11 to have room for thin sock . The 10 fit but I wanted more room . So depends on your choice how you want the boot to fit . Overall I will wear indoors at home before outdoors, to be certain of fit . Born please do better with your sizing and wide-calf sizing and make sure it says regular or wide calf . Fix your quality control too.

I've had two pair of tall Born boots for years - one in black, one in brown - and it was finally time to replace them. I was very excited to see these, as they look very similar to my other ones AND didn't have a buckle accent anywhere (just my personal taste). I was even more excited that the price had been reduced just before I was ready to purchase a pair in each color! However, I'm disappointed. First, the side zipper only going up partway means it takes more work to take them off (you have to grab by the heel and pull, rather than unzip all the way and just slip off). Also, the shaft just seems kind of big (I ordered my usual M width) and lacks the structure that riding boots often have. I'm super sad but will be returning them.

These are cute and soft and would most likely work but the shaft width is HUGE. I ordered a wide and maybe that refers to the shaft and not the shoe? No idea but I could fit two of my calves in this boot so sadly they will be going back

These boots really exceeded my expectations. It’s so hard to find wide calf boots that not only fit my calf, but don’t look cheap and are comfortable. Not happy they’re $40 more for wide calf, but I don’t have a choice. And I didn’t find them rough to remove either. Definitely worth it.

Beautiful boot, but I bought it three times as normal calf and was sent wide calf. I am a 16 1/2 inch calf. And these in wide were way too big. I settled for a pair very similar in regular calf on the Nordstrom Rack page for way less of a price.
