Sam Waterproof Boot

These shoes stated that they are waterproof but they are not.. it snowed a bit in our neighborhood, and we decided to get out to our backyard.. 20 mins later, when we came back to the house. All my son's socks were wet (all the way).. we spent quite a bit of money trusting that these shoes are waterproof.. Parents make yourself a favor and choose another brand..

I’m so disappointed by one major design flaw. Firstly, the shoe is so cute and very functional in terms of waterproof and good traction. My son wore them for one week when the threads started coming loose on the brown patches that hold the red bungee lace. I snipped one thread to keep from poking out so much and then the entire patch fell off by the end of the day! Whyyyyyyy and if the bungee isn’t fully in place, it makes the shoe too loose. So it’s an error in the design for sure. So disappointing. I’m returning the shoe. For the price it should definitely hold up better than this!!

Just like multiple other reviews, these boots were impossible to put on. The elastic is too tight to allow for the foot to go in. These look like such great quality and perfect for hiking, but sadly had to return. They would be great if redesigned to have a zipper down the side to allow for the foot to go in.

These boots are beyond adorable, but the fit and ease of use are terrible. My son is currently wearing a 5 in See Kai Run, and we ordered the 6. The shoes compared together are the exact same size. There’s also zero give to the front lace part, while the heel is totally soft and compresses, with no loop hole to pull it up onto the foot. It took 2 adults and 1 toddler to wrangle this thing on and even then barely got his foot in the boot. After trying them on only a matter of minutes, he had major red pressure imprints in his feet when we took off his socks. 2 stars just for how cute they are, and otherwise I’m sure they’re great.

I have twin 3 yo who are as independent as it comes, they put on their own clothes socks and shoes. These were a little frustrating due to the solitary Velcro strap and the laced up elastic. They grew out of a pair with 2 Velcro straps and they had no problem putting them on. I also agree that these shoes are not "waterproof" because we have had walks in the rain and through small puddles and they were soaked through. They are comfortable and good for running and hiking. They do not cause tripping or stumbling due to the rounded toes. I still like the shoes so we will probably keep them, but I anticipate some frustration whenever I ask my kids to put their shoes on.
