Seafaring Waterproof Linen & Cotton Hooded Coat

I purchased this raincoat for a trip to Germany, Austria, and Amsterdam, where lots of rain was predicted. It worked perfectly. It was stylish, so I didn’t feel like I was wearing a rubber fishing Mac, it was long enough to keep my legs dry, and the hood was big enough to cover my whole face. I’m not sure if it would withstand hours of a sustained downpour, but for an everyday sensible raincoat, it worked perfectly.

I I bought this jacket for it’s beautiful green color, it’s cotton and linen fabric, it’s length, and it’s waterproofing. I purchased it in a US size 10 and it fits with enough room for a sweater and a puffy vest to keep me warm. I live in the Pacific Northwest and bought it to walk in the rain. The first two times I wore it in a rain storm for about 40 minutes it kept me dry. Yesterday I went out for a walk in a moderate downpour that lasted the entire time of my hour walk and when I returned home, I was disappointed to see that the right shoulder seam leaked. I’ll be exchanging this for another jacket in the hopes that this one is defective.
