Ellen Up Pointed Toe Boot (Women)

I am a standard 8B size, and I expected these boots to fit a little tight in the toe box because of the narrow, pointed toe (I purchased the root brown version). However, just the opposite, the shoe portion of the boot fit way too loose. I had wanted to wear these with a dress or skirt (without socks) and my foot was moving around in the boot as I walked because they fit so loose. Even when I tried wearing a heavy sock, they still were too big. It's a shame, because these are good-looking boots. I advise trying these on in the store; you may need to go down a half or whole size. I returned them and can't repurchase because my color sold out :(

Based on previous reviews, I ordered both my regular size 7 and also a 6.5. I will add that I have many previous season Schutz boots in size 7. The size 7 in these Ellen boots are roomy, but not terribly so. The 6.5 is significantly more narrow in both the toebox and throughout the calf. The shaft height is also about a half inch shorter. While at first try on, the 6.5 seem to fit better, but even after just taking a few steps in them I can tell that they would be problematic. Especially if I wanted to walk in them for an entire evening. My toes would be way too cramped and the ankle area also digs in at the back. My conclusion is that these run TTS, but roomy. Therefore, I will keep my usual size 7. I would rather have them be a little big and have room for swelling, as that always happens when walking in high heeled boots. Will add that these are beautiful and the material is soft and flexible. Can’t wait to wear them this fall and winter!

I really wanted to like these boots. They look better in the picture. They are much wider than I thought they’d be. I think they would fit better on someone who has a bigger calf and ankle. They were way too slouchy and wide for me. The quality of the boot is just ok. I will be returning them.

I’m a solid 11 on every day that ends in Y. These boots are lovely and gigantic. I’m SO disappointed that Nordstrom has yet to correct their guidance around fit based on all of the reviews. You’ll need to size down 1-1.5 sizes. I’m trying to reorder in both a 9.5 and a 10 without any luck. If I can ever get my correct size, I’ll update my review.
