The shows had the slightest little scratches on the sole. You couldn’t tell unless you really looked at them hard. The boots had creases and scratches as if they’d already been worn before. There was a significant scuff on the boot and another one that was a smidge less bad on the other. When I returned them, the workers insisted that they had never been worn and this is just how they are. If this is the quality to expect from Schutz, I’m never buying anything from them again. The employees at the Chicago location also didn’t make it better by trying to make me believe the shoes are supposed to look like that.

I saw these in the anniversary sale preview and had to have them. When they arrived, the first thing I noticed was that they were creased and scratched like they had been tried on by someone careless. The 9 was too small, but the 9.5 was sold out. I ordered another Schutz boot, but the result was similar - creased, scratched, inconsistent sizing (I tried a 9.5 and 8.5). I don’t think I’ll try this brand again.
