comfortable
Sized down a half size. Love this in-between height boot. They work with all denim types and the wider opening makes them flattering on the ankle with dresses/skirts.

very tired of the inaccurate descriptions
I have been a loyal Nordstrom shopper for over 40 years. I am very disappointed in the last several years of the anniversary sales because so many of the descriptions of the items are inaccurate or just plain wrong. I purchased these boots based on the fact that it said that they had a rubber sole. I live in a cold weather climate and have to have boots that provide grip for walking oin ice and snow. These just Arrived and the soles are without any tread to them at all, not to mention they are not rubber. This is not the first time that this is happened, where the descriptions have not matched the item. I will be sending them back.

Runs Slightly Big
Ordered as part of the Anniversary Sale. The taupe color is pretty, but the fit did not work for me. The opening is large, and I felt like I was wearing a bucket. The inside of the shoe also did not work for me because the arch was hitting me in the wrong place. I did not try on a smaller size because I felt like the opening would still be too big.

loved except the top of the fit
Love except they are super big at the opening around your calf (and I have pretty big calves). So I am not sure how to wear these compared to my other boots. I will probably return. Returned once to get a half size smaller already. Normally an 8 and got the 7.5 which fit in the foot area fine.

Gorgeous Taupe Suede , but WIDE SHAFT!
This Alexandria bootie checked almost every box for me! The heel height & style is practical, yet on trend , the taupe suede is the BEST neutral (light tan more than taupe, IMO), and I wore around my house to determine they were comfy! It has the necessary pointed/almond toe for us short gals that want the illusion of longer legs & yet not too pointy because there is room in the toe box.
All good, except....OMG the shaft opening is SO WIDE! I do not have big ankles nor big lower calves, yet , as one reviewer stated, I look like I'm. standing in 2 buckets! I measured shaft width on these booties & it's 12". What to do??? I am undecided whether I will return. Definitely will not look good with dresses, but maybe wide leg trousers & jeans?

Beautiful boots, way too big.
My feet were swimming. I wear a 7.5 in most shoes. I could probably wear the 7 in these, but they are sold out in the snake skin right now. Maybe they will come back in before the sale ends.
