The Lip Slip^® One Luxe Balm

I purchased my Sara Happ lip balm online from Nordstrom.  My first impression was "The packaging is very pretty, definitely feels like a high-end product".  I did not have any issues with the plastic pod the balm comes in but I have read reviews where others had issues with the top closing.  You do have to use your finger since it does come in a pod.  I am not a fan of products I have to dip my finger into because I feel I'm infecting the balm with bacteria from my finger.  The balm is a pretty pale pink color.  On my lips, the balm did not alter the color of my lips.  Initially, when I put the lip balm onto my lips, my lips did look great with a beautiful shine.  The appearance of the balm is very shiny on your lips, you do have to put a generous amount and reapply every 5 minutes.  The balm feels tacky on the lips.  I am not a fan of products that are sticky, tacky and thick on the lips.  I prefer my lips to feel soft and buttery from a lip product, which this product does not do.  The lip balm wears off quickly, meaning that shine and gloss are gone after about 5 minutes.    When the gloss wears off the glitter is still left on your lips, so you're left with random glitter specks on your lips.  I did not feel it hydrated my lips as the product claims to be hydrating.  Overal for the price point and what the product offers, I will probably not re-purchase.

This lip balm to me not your usually daytime lip balm, it is too thick , however this is the Only balm that gets rid of my chapped almost bleeding lips if I use it overnight. I’ve tried many- Fresh, Laneige sleeping mask, those are nothing compared to the healing power of this lip balm. I wake up with healed, soft lips, a must for me in the winter time especially. Yes, I wish it wasn’t a jar that you dip your fingers in but I think it was in a tube form, it would not be as thick , I am willing to wash my hands before and after ;)

I’m not one to write reviews about things, but this product takes the cake. This is the most moisturizing lip balm I have ever used! This late Feb/March I’ve had uncharacteristically super chapped lips and nothing was helping (Vaseline or Chapstick) one night of this lip balm cured my problem! I sleep with it on and I wake up with moisturized lips or wear it during the day for some added shine. The perfect product for anyone. I will say it is thicker than the average lip balm but it didn’t bother plus reassured me that it’s really working!

I found this product online and was a little disappointed that it wasn’t available in the store to try. I did order it through an associate at the store and have been extremely happy with the product. I use a lip brush to apply so that I don’t have to dip my finger in the jar. Beautiful color for a more natural look while hydrating as well. Can also put on top of a lipstick! fantastic product, just wish Nordstrom carried more of this line
