What’s your time worth? Santoni + Nordstrom = Great Experience. THE EXPERIENCE: We have a few really nice malls in the South SF Bay Area/Peninsula but finding shoes and styles in-stock was a challenge. Nordstrom is THE BEST! I tried several stores from Neiman, Saks, Bergdorff etc and different brands- Weitzman, Cucinelli, etc and couldn’t find what I really liked. Each had really nice qualities but nothing special, especially at the price point. A sales associate at Nordstrom recommended I go online and order from the superior selection. I did. Easy. After trying few different brands in different sizes from the comfort of home, I chose the Santoni Malibu. THE QUALITY : The suede is a far better quality than other brands. It’s silky with a richer color palette. The stitching is tight and uniform, no weird glue residue on the white soles and incredibly lightweight and flexible. Easy to throw into a carry-on for travel. Santoni’s customer service is equal that of Nordstrom. They respond immediately and are pleasant and professional. THE FIT: There is a flexible heel at the back and the foot ball area is not as narrow as a lot of the other brands if loafers or espadrilles . I wear a 12.5 US, sometimes a 13. The Santoni size 12 fit well- not tight but not loose. I really like Magnanni, but their similar shoe sized 12 was really loose. Not cheap, but if you walk a lot like I do, the last thing you want is to have sore feet or a shoe fall apart because you’re trying to save a few bucks. Especially if you’re on vacation. The Santoni Malibu Loafers are a solid investment and Nordstrom makes the buying process easy.
