What it is: A candle with spicy, leathery and musky notes. It is developed with a high dose of fragrance oils, a custom blend of waxes and wicks constructed with natural fibers to ensure a beautiful olfactive experience.
Fragrance story: Santal 26 is an aristocratic scent, at once gentle, smoky and leathery, that will fill your space and give it true personality. Come on baby, light my fire. Carefully poured by hand in the US, these candles are packaged in glass vessels and tucked into le Labo's classic kraft box. Please read the instructions before use and don’t forget to trim the wicks.

A Classic and a Lease-Saver
I've bought at least 10 of these candles in the last five years. It's been my go-to signature home scent. However, last week I moved into an adorable apartment above a sandwich shop - they advertise themselves as a bakery, but I quickly came to find out they deal heavily in deli meats. I thought the meat smell was going to make me have to break my lease and run. But this earthy, woody smell leans right into the meaty scents, and within an hour of lighting this beauty up, all was right with the world! From one single candle, I am no longer worried about living my life stewing in sandwich smell!

ZERO STAR - NO SCENT
So so disappointed!! Don't waste your money! Shame on Le Labo for selling a candle at this price when it doesn't smell when lit. You just get a very light scent if your nose is right over it. I let it burn for more than 4 hours each time and nothing!! I can spend $10.00 on a candle and it fills the room with scent. Trust the negative reviews, not the influencers that hype it up because they get a commission. I basically spent $75.00 on a glass jar.

sophisticated and magical scent
wonderful candle. large size, lovely gender neutral scent of light wood, not too perfume-y, with a subtle hint of spice. I keep one in my bedroom and when its lit it wafts through half of the second floor. I find one candle lit every other day or so for a few hours at a time lasts me about 2-3 months.

Not as great as I hoped
Solid, but not amazing and definitely not five stars to me. The burn time is going much faster than I had hoped. I live in a small home (less than 1500sf) and the scent does not permeate even one room no matter how long I burn it. Maybe if I tried only a bedroom with the door closed but then any candle could handle that. The picture attached is after 3 days of burning for less than four hours each day, two days in a row and then one more day. Alas, I am just not as in love with this as everyone else.

I have been purchasing The Santal 26 candle over and over for about two years. It was a staple in my house and I didn’t mind splurging because the quality was great. However, the past two candles have been very different. The new batch doesn’t seem to have much of a scent when lit compared to the candles I previously bought.
