Water Resistant Rain Jacket with Bib

This jacket was pretty disappointing. Firstly, the vest insert is odd, but it wasn't a dealbreaker. What was were the strangely tight arms, despite me getting this coat in my normal size. It was like a sausage casing, and my arms are pretty average. But the final nail in the coffin - whether it fit right or not - was the quality. The hardware on this jacket is so incredibly cheap looking and feeling. It looks and feels like plastic covered in some sort of silver foil. Knock 50% of the current sale price and maybe then you'll be getting what you pay for.

I’ve been looking for a new raincoat for over a year and bought this because of the title and description that is us water proof. The first thing I see when I opened the package is a neon green large tag saying WATER-RESISTANT….ummm unacceptable and false advertising on the site. It’s a shame because it is such a cute jacket and the fit is perfect! A little tight in the shoulders but overall great fit.

First of all, I will start saying, I really love the rain jacket. I got it in black. I went with my true size medium, and it works just fine, but I will say it’s definitely narrow in the shoulders and the armpits because of the added vest. I still can wear a sweater underneath but if anybody has a broader shoulders and larger arms, you may want to order two sizes to compare so your normal size and one size up.

I ordered my true size, medium. It fits but unlike the video it doesn’t have extra room. I can probably wear a light weight sweater under it but not a thick sweater. Things I would change: - put a reversible zipper on so you can have some room to move at the bottom when sitting or squatting. The length is longer so there isn’t a lot of give in it. - detachable hood. There are 2 hoods and neither detaches. - zipper pockets. Pockets are deep but there are only 2 pockets on the jacket so at least have the zipper. - the vest detail is nice but it would be a bonus if you could detach it and just have a shell on warmer weather rainy days. - more room in the arms. It fits but arms on any jacket for winter should always be roomy for layers. Designers need to start taking layers in consideration when creating. Also, everyone complaining about water resistant and not water proof. It is very hard to label something water proof now if any part of the fabric isn’t water proof. For example, the strings are not water proof and zippers so it cannot be labeled water proof. The ad should not say water proof either. To have a full proof water proof jacket it will need to be those jar shelled uncomfortable types of jackets. Probably will keep until I find one that I like better.

I purchased this raincoat in the Olive to replace my much-loved older black designer raincoat. I bought it to wear in Spring and Fall when it can be a little cooler in the New England area. It is perfect, and I have received numerous compliments on it each time I have worn it. This was a great addition to my wardrobe!
