Pauleena Platform Wedge Slide Sandal (Women)

I almost canceled my order for these after reading the reviews. I'm glad I didn't, because I haven't had any of the problems others have mentioned. I don't find any unusual curve to the sole, and for me these are very comfortable and easy to walk in. I added a (terrible) pic with one shoe at an angle to show that the sole doesn't have a rocker bottom (I hate those) and is a typical platform/low wedge shape. I'll say that I have lots of Sam Edelman shoes, and lots of wedge sandals, so I'm accustomed to both. I'll also say that there are times when different colors of the same shoe fit differently due to different materials, so maybe that comes into play here. I got the ivory and they fit like my other SE shoes. SE does run a little narrow. I'm regular/medium width and they're fine for me, but if you need wide width, these aren't for you. For me they're true to size in length; I'm normally an 8.5, that's what I ordered, and they fit perfectly. There are other SE styles that I've had to size up to a 9, but I didn't need to here. They're a little heavy, but that's true of most any platform shoe. If you're not used to walking in a slide style with a thick wedge, it can take getting used to. I have no problem keeping these on my feet and can walk in them for hours. I like them enough that I plan to come back for the black ones. Hope this helps.

This shoe is super uncomfortable—hard to walk in and doesn’t stay on my foot well. It will definitely leave a blister as the strap part feels like a hard plastic. I’m a true size 9 and my foot barely fits on the shoe bed correctly. Plus it’s more narrow than what a true size 9 would be. Also, the way the strap part is designed, it looks like it’s coming apart (it’s not, just looks that way) which isn’t as elegant as I’d hoped for. All around, not a great design and fit. I’m returning.
