Merton Bootie

4.5 stars. I'm loving these boots. They're really cute, with just enough detail to be unique-looking, but not so much as to be garish, and they're quite comfortable. The color is really pretty, too. I ordered them in "Putty" which definitely looks like more of a true gray in real life, but it's a very pretty shade. I'd been looking for some gray suede ankle boots for a while and these have perfectly filled that niche in my wardrobe. A couple of notes about sizing: These run just slightly large, and when I initially tried them on, I thought I might have to send them back. However, the ball of my foot (or the "last" as it's sometimes called) is longer than average, and these boots are cut for a slightly shorter last than mine, so the slightly bigger size actually works (if you've ever worn a shoe with too long or short a last for you, you know that can really hurt, especially in a shoe with a little heel) They don't hold my foot in place as much as I might like but at the end of the day they fit comfortably, and I love the way they look.
