Carmen Sandal (Women)

Whoever designed this shoe 1) is probably not a woman and 2) should be sentenced to wear this shoe for the rest of his life. The incline of the heel is so sharp that I put the shoes on, stood up and sat back down and took them off. Didn't even bother to take a step. Too bad, becasue it's a good looking shoe and I love the heel. Note that they run a bit wide. I have wide feet, and the square toebox was even a little wide for me.

Had my eye on these forever, snagged 3 colors when they went on sale. Sadly, I had to return all 3. They were TTS in length, but the fit stopped there. The forefoot portion of the shoe is *huge*. It doesn't just look wide because of the squared toe, it really is unusually broad across the front. There was a sizable gap between the top of my foot and the vamp. Another space at either side next to my big and little toes. The angle of the shoe is cut so that my arch makes no contact with the shoe, which feels very odd and makes walking awkward. But there was no walking anyway because the huge front of the shoe just flopped around, I couldn't keep them on my feet to take even one normal step. Beautiful colors, chic heel shape, nice height, smooth leather, but the fit and shape is just way off.
