Odd strap placement

These shoes are beautiful and the packaging was meticulous. When I tried them on I was concerned about the strap placement, which was too far from the heel, causing my heel to feel like it could slip out of the shoe when I step. I almost sent them right back. However I was able to tighten the strap and that seems to solve the problem. I wore them a full day with no issues. Very comfortable and cute!
