I’m genuinely disappointed with these lamps. I gifted them to my son for his new house four months after purchasing them from Nordstrom in April 2026. The lamp finial issue alone makes them unusable where the internal threads (“teeth”) don’t align with the harp screw, so the shades can’t be tightened or secured. No matter how carefully I tried to adjust it, the finial simply wouldn’t catch properly. My son had to purchase two new finials from Lowe’s and insert a small piece of furniture padding between the shade to securely fasten it. The pull chain problem was just as frustrating. The ball pull chain couldn’t be attached securely and kept dropping off with the slightest movement. It felt like it was barely hanging on. The shade quality was another disappointment. They’re cheaply made, the seams are visibly glued to the rod, and the entire shade sits off‑center. It looks sloppy and low‑quality from every angle. For the price, the quality is shockingly poor. These lamps are so cheaply made that they should be banned from Nordstrom entirely. The craftsmanship does not meet even basic expectations, let alone the standards of a retailer known for higher quality. It is unacceptable for Nordstrom to offer something this poorly constructed.
