Are these fake?

The shoes arrived looking worn and smudged. Since they were steeply discounted, I went to try one shoe on to see if it fit. The logo on the sole immediately rubbed off on my foot. I put my finger into the other and that logo smeared off like a dry erase on a whiteboard. I had to double check that I’d ordered the shoes from Nordstrom, not some shady website. The one shoe was comfortable and fit, but given the lack of quality shown in the first couple minutes of opening the box, I’m not convinced these shoes would even last a wear. I wish they would as I like the style and the fit.
