Roughneck Oil Slick Leather Boot

Truly the greatest footwear I've ever owned. I've had my roughnecks for years and they've always been reliable. I wear these simply for walking, fashion, and heavy duty yard work. But the thing about me is that I am an insanely intense and harsh walker. I destroy all shoes simply from walking. I dig holes in my insoles where my big toe lies, and in the heels of my shoes. These boots have survived my rigid walking for years in end. Incredible investment.

I thought the break in person would help the pain but it did not. You can’t win them all. I have been rolling the dice on Red Wing boots for years. Sometimes I get lucky and sometimes not with boots that may or may not form to my feet. I have a 11 1/2 EE foot and Red Wings give me little support in conditions other than flat surfaces.

I bought these boots 3 months ago. They are fantastic. The soles provide great traction. My only complaint is that I wish they offered these boots with the dull gilt hooks at the top rather than eyelets. The eyelets are time consuming v.s. dull gilt hooks. These soles should be offered on your other heritage boots that have the dull gilt hooks. I would love to have a pair with the dull gilt hooks and these fantastic soles.
