There is an epic Saturday Night Live spoof of old Folgers coffee commercials where Chris Farley portrays a restaurant patron who was NOT okay with having his coffee switched. What does that have to do with this lipstick? If I didn’t know better, I would swear someone switched this out with drugstore L’Oreal lipstick. It has the same consistency and scent. To be clear, my response to the switcheroo was much more tame… I didn’t hit anyone over the head with a skillet. But I did immediately wipe the lipstick off and I’m returning it asap. Does my disappointment have anything to do with the high price for half the usual amount of product? Nope! I totally would’ve paid it for some nice lipstick. And this is not it.

Not Worth The Price
Nice color range, but it’s really not worth the ridiculously high price point (I honestly don’t care about buying a refill for my lipstick). The formula felt rather thick when wearing. Wasn’t impressed with its claims of having staying power as it wore off pretty quickly. Stick with the Allure formula.

disappointing...
First it was hard to find a color to go with my fair skin with yellow undertones. After trying several colors, 864 seemed to be the best warmish red. I don't mind less product or even higher cost. What I do mind is an inferior product with poor color, no longevity and poor quality. The only pro is that it is returnable!!

Not worth the $$$
This is the possibly the most expensive lipstick I have ever bought. I just think Chanel makes horrible lipstick and this turned out to be my worse purchase ever. I layered it with my fabulous YSL lipstick just to get it to look ok.
Chanel what happened to your wonderful makeup and lipstick? Chanel is falling short on all their products from eyeliner to lipliners to makeup (which are awful). The only thing I like are their blushes. I miss the good old days where I couldn’t get enough of their products. Bye, bye Chanel.

Disappointing staying power
What a disappointment from CHANEL. This does not even parallel the staying power of drugstore lipsticks as even they remain on the lips for a longer period of time. Just like Mademoiselle CHANEL revolutionized beauty and the lives of women by being the first creator to put lip color in a bullet, creating the lipstick casing we know today, CHANEL ought to adhere to higher standards once again. The color stayed on for less than an hour, and the alleged moisturizing properties were sub-par. Not worth the price tag. At all.

Finally, a real moisturizing lipstick
This lipstick feels great on my lips. I love Chanel colors but find them drying. This is also a bit smaller, which I like. The color I chose is a great neutral color. I don't know yet how long-wearing it is which is why I gave it 4 stars, not five. I just wish there was a better color chart.
