ROUGE ALLURE LAQUE Ultrawear Shine Liquid Lip Colour

I purchased this lipstick with high hopes, but I find it to be a bit of a let down overall. Pros: - Rich pigment - Doesn’t bleed even without a liner - Doesn’t feel dry after hours of wear Cons: - Smudges with the slightest accidental touch - Color begins to wear away after a couple of hours - The color begins to shift around on the lip, causing the pigment to appear patchy, and you get the dreaded color block line on the inside of the lip (so, when you pucker, talk, etc....you can clearly see a line) - The moment you eat or drink, game over. You will definitely need to reapply. I purchased a matte color that is way better (you just have to deal with the dry feeling).

I got two of these. The first was 66 permanent, and the other shade was 67 steady. I can’t say enough good things about them. The colors are strong and beautiful, and when they say ultra wear they MEAN IT. This will not come off unless you want it off. Mine stays on all day with no problem at all, doesn’t smudge, and I have to try pretty hard to get it off at night. It also leaves my lips feeling moisturized and soft, unlike many other long wear lipsticks. I absolutely recommend this.

I bought 64 exigence, 66 permanent, 78 tenacious and 77 dark blossom. The pinks - 64 and 66 are beautiful. I’m blown away with 66. This lasts fairly long enough. They are comfortable. The problematic areas are, a. When you layer them - they feel sticky. The color also moves. I also felt it wasn’t lasting long as opposed to one swipe. b. All of the glittery shades are not perfected yet. I tried them with Chanel ‘try on’ option, they were comparable to the real lipsticks. I ended up returning 77 dark blossom as color was way too brown and sparkles didn’t work the way it should. The Nordstrom website picture has no relevance to this lipstick. Both color and finish are different in real time. Since many of the shades are limited edition, I am considering getting a backup for 66. The challenge right now is finding the right shade with this global pandemic. I wish Chanel releases samples so we can decide just looking at the pictures from websites.

I am so in love with these lippies! I received a sample a few months back and I was in denial for a while that my lips and the color looked absolutely stunning. But I am in love and every color I’ve tried has really been flattering. My lip lines look smoother and the colors seem to have a blurring effect on me. I would highly recommend!
