These lace-up Ross & Snow boots are made better than most snow boots with the exception being the Hermes knee-high zippered boot with a tongue inside the zipper to prevent water and snow from penetrating inside of the but these French designer boots are $2,750. For the price and overall superior workmanship, these Ross & Snow boots with the Arctic Vibram sole are perfect for walking one's large-breed dog with heavy feet and huge claws in the pouring, cold rain and during snow blizzards -- and, of course, walking on very slippery ice, but I would suggest using the large dog, especially a very large dog, for support just in case you do slip. As for sizing, go one size up for medium to heavy socks. For normal or thin socks, go 1/2 size up. In the winter, feet tend to swell -- especially on those of us, who are over 40. Otherwise no complaints. Excellent for $700, considering today's hyperinflated prices.

These boots are really stylish looking snow boots and very well made. Your feet feel super snuggly and warm with the inner lining of shearling lining the inside of the boot. I like the artic grip vibram sole for good traction in snow / ice. One thing I don’t like is the price point but they were currently on sale. Last summer Nordstrom has these boots listed for $745.00 for some reason compared to current price. They do run small at least one full size. I had originally ordered them half a size bigger than my normal shoe size and they felt tight. This time I re-ordered them a half a size bigger to 9.5 (normally a 8.5) and they still feel kinda tight on my right foot with a slim ski sock on. I’m hoping they will stretch out with more use. I think I will get a lot of use out of them and I think they will last me many years of snow wear.

Very nicely made boots but the sizing is off. They are very tight in the mid foot and loose at the heel. I tried with and without socks, and without felt actually quit nice but I still had a fair amount of heel lift when walking. So sadly these will go back. The inner shearling and the outer fur are very nice and lovely materials. They seemed well made, I wished they fit.
