Bed Stu

Founded in L.A. in 1995 but inspired by the Brooklyn streets, Bed Stu handcrafts shoes and boots for women and men. The brand uses traditional shoemaking techniques like hand-weaving and hand-sewing, as well as natural leathers (from free-range animals when possible) and a vegetable-based tanning process, so each shoe is unique and imperfect but always genuine.

Gorgeous bag!
I own many luxury purses, and the leather on this bag is incredible. Other reviewers mentioned a their bag having a strong odor - my bag smelled like leather. I'm very pleased with this purchase.

Would NOT Recommend
This bag came with such a strong odor that my eyes started watering. I'm talking intense chemical smell plus toxins. No thanks! Plus, the hardware felt flimsy, easily breakable, and it appeared to be heavily rusted. I'd rather spend my money on a better brand with better quality. This bag is not worth it. Bed stu...I mean... Bed who?

Cute shape, bad smell for Cognac
I have had BedStu boots before and have loved them for comfort, simplicity, and distressed style. I got this bag in Cognac but it has SUCH a strong odor from whatever they used to distress or color it! It was so so strong - like paint thinner - that I decided to hang it outside for a few days to let it fade away. I did carry it a few times after that but friends remarked on the odor so I left it out again and it was rained on! Too bad, it was a good idea and a useful size/shape, maybe rushed to shipping, it should have been allowed to sit somewhere on the manufacturing and for a few more months. Can't recommend, at least in this color.

Seagrass Rockababy
The bag itself is beautiful but I may return it. I usually wear my bags crossbody and the included strap is very thin and digs into my shoulder. PAINFUL! For reference, my Bed Stü Venice crossbody strap is 1 1/4 in and the Rockababy strap is 7/8 in. Not comfortable for a much bigger and heavier bag. :grimacing:

Love the distressed look
Great purse, hardware. Yes it does have a smell when first opened out of the bag. Smell like leather to me. Which dissipates after a while . So no issue for me.

Almost perfect
I love the look, size, and feel of this bag. Unfortunately the crossbody strap is too thin and digs into my shoulder, so I never get to use the bag.
