Reversible Balmacaan Raincoat

I am not the target market body shape for Ralph Lauren, but I had to try this. I ordered Large, knowing RL is meant for long, lean bodies. The Large did fit okay over my hips, but I found the shoulders and upper arms to be constrictive. My upper arms are not lean, and I am sensitive to feeling constricted, so this coat was a no-go. On a side note, I appreciate the reversible option, but I felt that fabric was crispy and noisy. It would not be a joy to put on in cool Minnesota weather.

This is a great coat but the discrepancy in sizes XS vs. S in Lauren Ralph Lauren coats is crazy! The XS is tight when moving my arms to the front or bending my arms up as though hanging my thumb on a shoulder bag (the sleeves and arm holes are rather tight for a coat). But the size S makes me look like I’m a child wearing their father’s gigantic coat. They need to work on this.
