Too big and too small

This dress is gorgeous but the proportions are all wrong. The skirt is big on the waist, and there is a lot of fabric, a very full skirt. The fabric is very heavy, not appropriate for summertime. The bust area is just the perfect fit. Exchanging for a smaller size would mean the bust area would not fit. FYI, I’m a pretty average bust size. I will sadly have to return it.
