Decided to return case
I returned the case. I prefer simpler designs and didn't think it was worth the cost. The insert twists without the case. Really like the lipstick color and formula.

Clean, Lightweight & Comfortable Nude Lipstick
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Dries Van Noten Satin Lipstick Refill in Romantic Nude has a beautiful, elegant nude shade that’s very flattering and easy to wear. The satin finish feels smooth and comfortable on the lips, with a nice balance between moisture and color payoff. The formula glides on easily and looks polished without feeling heavy. I do wish it lasted a bit longer, as some reapplication is needed after eating or drinking. Overall, it’s a lovely lipstick with a luxurious feel, and I’d give it 4 stars.

Faulty Case
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The case is very pretty and a great size but it is not well made. I inserted the lipstick into the case and closed the top, but then realized both the top or the bottom can easily be removed from the lipstick while installed. That defeats the purpose of the refilling lipstick process and increases the potential error to inadvertently destroy the lipstick during use. Will I use it, yes. Will I purchase refills, no.

Beautiful elegant retro case.

Elegant combination of gold and stone imitation plastic body. Smooth mechanism. Stylish retro design. Took me a second to insert the refill but then worked great.
