Rebecca Strapless Satin Column Gown

I bought this dress as a possible MOB dress and it is absolutely gorgeous in color and fabric. However I found the sizing to be small at least for the chest area. (I am like a 36d) I normally wear a size 8 in clothing but I know evening gowns can run small so I ordered a 10 and the 10 will not zip so I’m going to try a size 12. The body fit was perfect so if you are small chested then it may be more true to size for you.

Gorgeous cognac colored long dress, fit like a glove, but easy to move around, walk, dance and sit. Highly recommend this dress especially for a black-tie wedding.

It’s not at all what I’d expect from a near $300 dress. The fabric is thin, with no sheen or richness to it. It feels flat, almost like a tablecloth. Honestly, drapes would wear better. I ordered a size 6 based on my waist measurement, but it was too loose overall, especially in the bust area. I’m pretty flat-chested, so someone bustier might fill it out better. I expected to need some tailoring, but there was simply too much excess fabric. Sizing down would have been a more cost-effective option. The length was great with a 4-inch heel. I’m 5'7", and if I were any taller, it probably would not hit the floor the way it does in the photos.

I usually order no 6 or eight dresses but no eight for this dress was tight although I loved the material, color, and the style.

I received the dress, poor quality . Return right way and till now, waiting for return. Never had a refound to take so long.

Similar to wedding dress sizing in that it runs one size too small and will require alterations which is similar to what is said on the Dessy group website. I’m usually a 10, but ordered a 10 and 12. The 12 is a bit too loose up top and the 10 is a bit too tight on the hips. I’ll keep the 12 because the draping falls nicer even if it doesn’t snatch my waist. I’m a 38C and wear 30 in jeans. The dress is very flattering regardless, but factor in extra cost for alterations. The plum color also isn’t as deep and warm as in the photo, but the style is classic and perfect for a wedding guest/party.
