Classic Styling
The style is classic and simple. The quality is superb. Very comfortable to use. Goes well with simple business dress or casual dress. I found it interesting that there is a difference between the glazed black and the pebbled black. This glazed leather version comes with one large zippered interior pocket and two non-zippered interior pockets whereas the pebbled one had one large interior pocket and two small interior pockets - none with zippers. Also, the zippered outside back pocket on the glazed version is much deeper than the outside back pocket on the pebbled textured one. The glazed version also has smaller side pockets than the pebbled black. I found that odd because when you hold the bags against each other the sizing seems to be the same. However, the differences are obvious when sliding my large sized phone in the pockets. If the pockets are important to you, keep in mind that they can vary from model to model.

Please go back to old design!
This used to be my favorite bag...I have been using the Julian for years and have had multiple colors...the last time I went to buy one I noticed that the side pockets are smaller than they used to be as well as the pocket on the back. Very disappointed and need to find a new backpack that has pockets for easy access to my phone and keys. Please go back to the old design! :(

So wanted to love...
When I got this gorgeous little backpack for my birthday, I thought I'd found the perfect daypack to leave me hands-free for my two toddlers. Alas, as much as I wanted to love it, I could not get past the ridiculously small opening to the main compartment. At about 5 or 6" wide, it made it necessary to root around blindly with my hand whenever I wanted to retrieve something. Add to that the fact that I could never slip anything in bigger than a paperback and I knew it wasn't meant to be. I am still on the hunt for an affordable, stylish black backpack with a normal-sized opening.

Julian backpack
I got the one on the left 2 years ago and I got the black one this year. I love the space(you can fit a lot inside), the pebble leather(the tan backpack is softer than the black one) and the edgy/boho design(fashionable, trendy and classic at the same time)You won’t regret buying it. I use this backpack as a daily bag. I am all about crossbodies and backpacks kind of gal. This one is perfection.

Beautiful But Already Ripping
This bag is beautiful. The styling is trendy but sophisticated. I've only had this bag a few months but the straps are already ripping where they attach at the top. They need additional reinforcement. I'm so disappointed because this is the second Minkoff bag I have purchased from Nordstrom that has been defective.

Already Ripping
I bought this bag based on my girlfriend having it and reviews. I used it about 4 times before it started ripping at the top. I would expect better from this brand and for an item I spent almost $300 on. I am going to bring it back in store and see if they can refund or exchange. Maybe it was just this bag that was a fluke. Other than that, the leather is soft and the size is good.

Beautiful Backpack
I absolutely love this backpack so adorable. I bought it in the black with silver hardware. Its very roomy inside and fits a full size Lauren wallet, makeup bag and hairbrush. I can also fit an umbrella in as well with still room for more. I've had my eye on this backpack for so long and so glad I caved in and got it. It's so unique and lightweight on the shoulders. I love the pockets on the outside of bag for quick access to keys and phone. I highly recommend this bag and it goes with everything.
