Darren Deerskin Leather Shoulder Bag

I would love this purse, but after having it for a few months, one feature is driving me nuts: The divider between the two sections aren't anchored at the bottom. The stuff I want kept in one section keeps migrating to the other, so too often I'm having to rummage through the entire purse to find what I'm looking for.

Had to go to the store for help with shortening the shoulder strap that was super long and sales person figured it out in under a minute - this is not something I want to deal with in the future, should I wish to change the length. I ended up buying a more expensive LongChamps bag that smelled like fabulous leather. Here's my take on the Darren Deersking bag: Pros: Very soft Good medium size, perfect for my 5"1" small frame Light weight Adjustable strap (but difficult to handle) Nice interior 2 compartments Cons: Not lined (this is main reason for my return, don't want deerskin fuzzies on everything I place inside) - unacceptable at this price point Won't stand on it's own unless weighted down the right way No "feet" to protect bottom from dirt, etc. Difficult to adjust strap

The design, functionality, and overall as a daily runaround this bag is PERFECT. I got it in the color black. It was only after using it for about 2 weeks I realized everything was slowly turning black due to the color of raw leather interior rubbing off onto everything. The zip pocket was the worst offender; every time I reach my hand in there I come out with black bits all over my hand. Not quite sure what do do at this point since I really like the purse, but it's slowly and surely turning all my things black.

Great bag! Light weight, supple, pebbled leather. Nice outside pocket fits my Apple 7 iPhone and a pair of glasses for easy access. Inside full length divider to separate various items, and a zippered pocked for extra protection. One side closes with a turn lock and the other with a magnet, so fairly well closed when all locked up. Great design for the shoulder strap which easily converts to a cross body by unsnapping snaps, moving to desired position and resnapping. Whole bag deep enough, but not too deep to find things. Love the putty color too.

This is a lovely, soft, supple bag that unfortunately fell to pieces after less than four months of use. Snap covers came off randomly, the black glaze on the clasp wore to silver, and one of the jump rings holding the strap lost a screw, leading the bag to fall off my shoulder while walking into work. It stayed in my desk at work or on a chair at home for 90% of the time—this was not the result of hard use or travel. Very disappointed as I’ve never had an issue like this with any other Rebecca Minkoff bag.
