rb Miramar Printed Denim Cotton Terry Trucker Jacket

I’ve always loved the look of jean jackets and have purchased many of them. However, I’ve never really worn them as much as I would have liked because they were always so stiff, heavy, thick and uncomfortable. This jacket feels more like I’m wearing a sweatshirt jacket. It’s much more comfortable than jean material and I’m going to get a lot of use out of this one. I sized up to Large because I wanted a similar fit to the model pictured and I’m glad I did. It’s really cute big! I also think having it large will be better in the long run due to the shrinkage of Miramar fabric after washing.

Fabulous cozy version of a denim jacket. Beautiful cut. Very flattering. Great side pockets. Just enough detail. Note that this is trompe l’oeil denim flat printed on terry. Much of the detail is printed. Real buttons. I love the quirkiness of the trompe l’oeil, and the fabric adds comfort and movement you don’t get with actual denim. Upscale pajama jeans. Super fun.

This app didn’t let me spell the French word for the painting technique used on this jacket. But anyway, I tried it on over a summer dress—the reason I bought this anyway, to jazz up and add layering as needed to simple summer cotton dresses—and it was so soft and perfect. Not your stiff denim. No! Not at all. Soft French terry lining and the outward appearance of denim. Perfect!
