Raw Hem High Waist Ankle Barrel Leg Jeans

I can only imagine the number of clothespins holding back the abundance of denim in order to make these appear to be barrel jeans. The pair I tried on do not have the shape shown in the photo. They’re more like really wide jeans up and down. CB just added an extra panel of material to round them out, I guess. I did size up for some reason (?) but do not feel that is the cause for the bad fit. I’m not reordering for a size four. I was disappointed! Barrel jeans can be very flattering if designed correctly, but these are not on me. Have considered having them altered, but live hours away from a Nordstrom’s store. The length is good for short people like me.
