Field Backpack

The backpack is great- very sturdy and does keep everything in it totally dry. I put it to the test during a coastal rain storm on a thirty minute walking commute and everything inside (laptop included) was fine. The zippers are a little tough, but it’s because of the way they lay to make sure water doesn’t seep in. Love it!

I use this as my primary work bag during the nonstop rainy months in my region. Great for commuting around the city by foot as it doesn't matter if it gets dirty or wet. Looks great as well. Took off stars because the straps give me a hard time. I have slightly wider than average shoulders for a woman, but they tend to slip off. Nearly every time I put this backpack on, the strap adjustment comes undone (there doesn't seem to be enough friction between the strap and the buckle). This gets frustrating since I can't seem to keep the backpack correctly positioned on my body. I wish there were a separate pocket for your laptop (although that'd go against the minimalist design). If my bag is mostly full, I'll have to remove the contents to access my laptop and get it out.

I’m bummed that this backpack won’t work for me. I need a new bag for my everyday commute. I like the look of this a lot— it’s sleek and the waterproof material feels very high quality. However, I don’t like that the pocket for my laptop is way behind the zipper, so I can’t really get a laptop in or out without emptying most of the bag. It’s also just too narrow to fit everything I need in a day— with my computer, workout outfit and lunch bag, it’s stuffed full with no place for a water bottle (wish there was an exterior pocket that would solve this). And when the bag is full, you can only fit something very flat into the front pocket- I wish that was more practical and not as flat so I could fit a small cosmetic bag, keys, and maybe my phone. Unfortunately I love the look but have to return this. If I traveled very light day to day, this bag could work, but it doesn’t fit my lifestyle.
