Slade Ponte Blazer

Been eyeing this blazer for awhile as it seems to have a cult following. Other colors have reviews so spent some time combing through those to determine what size I needed. Many mentioned it ran small but was stretchy. I’m normally a 8, wanted to order a 10 but it never came available. So an 8 it was. Bottom line, it fits but is snug. But I expected that since the description says it. The material is made for this; very dense and heavy ponte that has a decent amount of stretch while keeping its shape. No back vent. Sleeves are plenty long, great for me since I’m 5’9”. But I’m limited to only wearing a tank or thin t under this blazer. I’m ok with that but I wish I had a 10 to try on and compare. I’ll leave the tags on for awhile just in case a 10 shows up. Last comment is on price. 495 is steep but other brands are more and some are less so price is relative. Compared to Veronica Beard, I feel like this price is a good deal.

I love this blazer, and have another of the same silhouette. But to pay this price and have the garment arrive with pale silver buttons just threw me. I started a search for appropriate replacements until I realized that it was not my responsibility to make this right. Don't invest in this item unless don't mind having unattractive bright metal buttons on this very nice jacket.

I have the slade blazer in the wool, the ICON fabrication, and now the ponte. The camel ponte is a beautiful color. I like the stretch in the ponte. I do wish camel color came in wool as that would be my preference. It does run small as others have stated. I’m a 34DDD and sized up to a 10. It can be buttoned but it’s tight. The stretch helps. The sleeves are long as I expected since I had to have the sleeves altered in the other two that I have. This is a great grab and go piece. It isn’t lined but the interior seams are finished with a piping so they aren’t exposed. None of the slade blazers I have are lined (wool, ICONS, and ponte) and it doesn’t bother me at all. They are meant to be unlined.
